In this blog post I will show you how to link your wish account on eDock and start selling and managing orders from here.
To link your Wish account to eDock you have to follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Wish settings > Users

Click on + "Add new user"

You will be redirected to the page of Wish for Merchant

Add your username and Password.
Then, accept the condition

Select your user and click on edit (gear icon)

Check the heading "Round up prices": Wish will convert automatically the price from dollar to euro rounding up prices.
Select your Default carrier.
Before you start: what you need in place
The connection itself takes a couple of minutes, but it only works if a few things are already sorted out on the Wish side. Make sure you have an active merchant account that has completed verification, and that you can log in to Wish for Merchants with the credentials you are about to use. An account still waiting for approval will authenticate but will not be able to publish anything.
It is also worth deciding, before connecting, which part of your catalogue you intend to sell on this channel. Wish is a price-driven marketplace: products that work here are usually low to mid ticket items that are easy to understand from a photograph. Connecting the account and pushing the entire catalogue is rarely the right first move.
Why the two settings at the end matter
The last two options in the procedure look like minor details, but they are the ones that prevent most of the problems you would otherwise discover weeks later.
Round up prices. Wish works in US dollars. If your price list is in euros, prices are converted using live exchange rates, which produces awkward amounts with decimals that change every time the rate moves. Rounding up gives you cleaner prices and a small buffer against currency fluctuation. The important consequence to understand is that the exchange rate is applied at the moment prices are sent: your margin on this channel moves with the currency, so it is sensible to build some room into the price list rather than working on the thinnest possible markup.
Default carrier. Wish only accepts shipping carriers from its supported list, because confirmed delivery is what triggers your payment. If an order carries a carrier name that is not recognised, the shipment cannot be confirmed properly. Setting a default carrier means that whenever the carrier on the order is not among the supported ones, a valid fallback is used instead of an error. It is a small setting that protects your payment cycle.
What happens after the account is linked
Once the user is connected, the integration can create new listings, update existing ones, keep prices and quantities aligned, and bring orders back so they can be fulfilled together with the rest of your channels. Nothing is published automatically by the act of connecting: you still choose which products to send.
Give the first synchronisation a little time and then check the result on the Wish side rather than assuming everything went through. The first batch of listings is where data problems surface — missing images, descriptions that are too short, categories that are not allowed.
Common problems when linking the account
- Login fails or loops back. Almost always the credentials belong to a personal account rather than the merchant account, or the merchant account has not completed verification yet.
- The user appears but nothing synchronises. Check that you completed the edit step: a user that has been added but never configured has no carrier and no price handling set.
- Prices look wrong. Verify whether the price list feeding this channel is in euros or dollars: if it is already in dollars, no conversion is applied at all.
- Shipments are not confirmed. The carrier used is probably outside the supported list, which is exactly what the default carrier setting is there to prevent.
Keeping the connection healthy
Marketplace credentials do not last forever. If the password of the merchant account changes, or the account is suspended for a policy issue, the connection stops working and synchronisation quietly ends: listings stay online with old prices and old quantities, which is the worst possible combination because you keep selling at figures you no longer control.
For this reason it is worth checking periodically that price and quantity updates are actually going through, especially after any change to the merchant account credentials.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I connect the Wish account? Under Settings > Wish settings > Users, by adding a new user and logging in through Wish for Merchants.
What does "Round up prices" actually do? Wish converts prices from your currency to dollars using live rates and rounds the resulting amount up, giving you cleaner figures and a small margin buffer.
Why do I need a default carrier? Because Wish only accepts carriers from its supported list, and confirmed delivery is what releases your payment. The default is used when the carrier on the order is not supported.
Do I need to connect the account again if I change my password? Yes. A credential change breaks the connection and synchronisation stops until the account is linked again.
